Overview
A mehndi set on an open lawn, built in the colours of the occasion. A carved wooden seat with gota-striped yellow cushions sits in front of a bamboo lattice hung with marigold clusters and jasmine strings, flanked by copper-toned clay pots, elephant planters and bunches of yellow and white flowers.

Create a warm, festive mehndi setting that feels handmade and rooted in tradition: natural materials, marigold and yellow as the lead colours, and a backdrop that works with the trees and greenery already on site.

Execution
The bamboo lattice was lashed on a diagonal grid and left open, so the garden shows through and the marigolds read against deep green rather than a flat backdrop.
Clay pots, elephant planters and cut flowers were grouped in clusters of different heights on both sides of the seat, framing the couple without closing the set in.
